Life in the Orchard
Our ability to be self-sustaining & eco-friendly where possible is enriched by having an orchard located at the Rolleston property. The fruit from the orchard provides fruit to all three of our homes when in season; some years yielding enough for us to make homemade preserves & stock the freezer. Alongside the orchard, there is a smaller vegetable garden which produces veggies for the home's meals, together with the fresh eggs laid by our brood of hens.
We support & encourage our residents to be involved in each step of gathering our homegrown produce.
